近日，中国少林杂志社社长、中国功夫发展委员会副主席、河南省省政府参事研究会副秘书长、淄博市佛教协会名誉会长释延明法师一行人应世界名木树雕艺术博览园的园长、中国树雕艺术的创始人、平顶山凌云大香山国学文化传播有限公司总经理李凌云大师邀请参观访问其树雕艺术收藏园。

Recently, Venerable Shi Yanming, President of China Shaolin Magazine, Vice Chairman of China Kungfu Development Committee, Deputy Secretary General of Henan Provincial Government Counsellor Research Council, Honorary President of Zibo Buddhist Association, and his party were invited by Master Li Lingyun, Director of World Famous Wooden Tree Carving Art Expo Park, founder of Chinese tree carving art, and General Manager of Pingdingshan Lingyun Da Xiang Shan National Culture Communication Co.

访问期间，李凌云大师向释延明法师详细介绍了其收藏的由金丝楠木、黄金樟、红豆杉、花梨木、阴沉木等雕刻而成的巨型稀珍名树雕像；并着重向释延明法师讲解了其收藏和创作的树雕佛像作品。

During the visit, Master Li Lingyun introduced to Venerable Shi Yanming in detail his collection of giant rare and famous tree statues carved from goldenrod, golden camphor, red bean fir, rosewood and sunken wood, etc. He also explained to Venerable Shi Yanming about his collection and creation of tree carved Buddha statues.

释延明法师表示：佛像和佛教艺术品是中华民族文化的重要载体之一，佛教艺术形象在佛教艺术发展与佛教文化传承中都起到了不可忽略的作用。这些丰富多彩的艺术形象让我们能以小见大，从个体看众生，也为我们去读懂佛教文化提供了更全面、更广阔的视角。

Venerable Shi Yanming said: Buddha statues and Buddhist artworks are one of the important carriers of Chinese culture, and Buddhist art images have played a non-negligible role in the development of Buddhist art and the transmission of Buddhist culture. These colorful artistic images allow us to see the big picture in a small way, looking at all beings from the individual, and provide us with a more comprehensive and broader perspective to read Buddhist culture.

李凌云大师高度认可释延明法师的观点，并表示：作为中国树雕艺术的创始人，定当勇于担当历史使命，努力传承佛教文化，积极弘扬中华文化，为优秀传统文化的创造性转化和创新性发展，为中华文化走出去发挥应有作用。

Master Li Lingyun highly approved of Venerable Shi Yanming’s views and said: as the founder of Chinese tree carving art, he should be brave enough to take up the historical mission, strive to inherit Buddhist culture, actively promote Chinese culture, play a role in the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional culture, and play a role in the outreach of Chinese culture.

释延明法师对李凌云大师的观点高度赞赏，并表示：通过艺术来弘扬中国优秀传统文化，具有无量无边的潜力。希望未来李凌云大师在弘扬传统文化方面走得更高，走得更远，为践行社会主义核心价值观，为提高文化软实力做出更多的贡献。

Venerable Shi Yanming highly appreciated Master Li Lingyun’s viewpoint and said: Promoting the excellent Chinese traditional culture through art has unlimited potential. I hope that Master Li Lingyun will go higher and further in promoting traditional culture in the future, and make more contributions to practicing the core socialist values and improving the soft power of culture.
